Arts, Craft & Sport

Redrow is giving continued support to artists and designers in the areas in which we build. The latest project, At Home with Art, features a show home in Daventry that has been dressed with furniture and accessories made by members of the Northamptonshire Guild of Design Craftsmen. "; Supported by Arts & Business, At Home with Art provides a ‘real life’ backdrop for the Guild members’ creations and highlights how easily art fits into the everyday home. The show home is bringing the designers’ work to the attention of a whole new audience that might never visit a gallery or artist’s studio.

The exhibition follows similar projects in Scotland and South Wales, which have also harnessed and promoted the talents and creativity of local craftsmen and women.

Redrow has also worked with local artists to create innovative and eye-catching outdoor public art at several developments, including an intriguing piece of work alongside the Shropshire Union Canal in Chester. Inspired by the canal’s history and heritage, the sculpture has been created with design input from children at two local secondary schools as well as professional artist Nigel Talbot.

In sport, Redrow has participated in a wide range of sponsorship in the communities in which we operate. This extends from supporting a wide cross section of junior football and other sporting teams to sponsorship of the Redrow Lancashire Amateur Football League for the past three years and as main sponsor of Cardiff City in the Nationwide League.

We have also championed young athletics talent by supporting the Suffolk Youth Games in Ipswich for three consecutive years and have backed a wide range of country sports, crafts and activities through our sponsorship of the Brocklesby Country Fair, near Grimsby.

In East Sussex, Redrow has been sole main sponsor of the Eastbourne Achievers awards for two consecutive years, helping to bring much deserved recognition to the area’s unsung heroes. Awards are presented to the young and the old, the sporting, those who have overcome physical disability to make their mark, those who have contributed civic service and to those who are just good neighbours.
