Redrow recognises the impact of transport on the community and the wider environment and is supportive of measures to reduce car reliance and subsequent CO2 emissions.
Financial contributions have been made to ‘park and ride’ schemes as at Whitlocks End station in support of the Dickens Heath development in the West Midlands.
Cycleways and footway networks are incorporated into our developments wherever possible, exemplified by the Green Transport Plan currently under discussion for the Anker Valley scheme in Tamworth, which will involve a heavy emphasis on walking and cycling and will also involve development of a new multi-modal interchange at Tamworth Station.
Cycling is encouraged on our Debut communities where homes are provided with cycle storage facilities.
