Redrow in action - Brownfield land
BUCKSHAW VILLAGE, LANCASHIRE
In Lancashire, Redrow has worked with the former owners, BAE Systems to remediate the 162.6 hectare Royal Ordnance site near Chorley, one of the largest brownfield sites in the North West. This development will provide a quality mixed use scheme for 52.8 hectare of commercial property development and 2,000 new homes, as well as a new railway station to serve the
community being created. The effort and teamwork invested in the development to date was rewarded with the news that Buckshaw Village has been voted the UK’s best new build village by consumer property magazine Your New Home.
CWM CALON, CAERPHILLY
At Cwm Calon in South Wales a 33 hectare former colliery is being regenerated for residential development. Re-development includes refurbishment and conversion of a listed pit-head building to apartments.
SOUTHBANK, WOLVERHAMPTON
At Southbank in Wolverhampton, a derelict industrial site has been regenerated producing 223 apartments and includes the restoration and conversion of a Grade II listed mill into apartments.
