Redrow in action - House for the future
The ‘House for the Future’ was built by Redrow at the Museum of Welsh Life, St. Fagans, Cardiff. The ‘brains’ of the house is a fascinating piece of technology with a number of key features, including the ability to detect a change in temperature and make adjustments accordingly to the heating systems in the house.
This environmentally friendly home has a dedicated recycling area adjacent to the kitchen, is well insulated and has energy efficient appliances, many boasting intelligent control mechanisms and operating systems to minimise water and electricity use.
This unique home, designed by architects Jestico & Whiles, offers a glimpse of what home life could be like in the future incorporating innovative ideas on sustainability.
