Roles & Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for Corporate Responsibility issues lies with the Chief Executive, Neil Fitzsimmons.
The Corporate Responsibility strategy forms part of our core business objectives and is threaded through the responsibilities of all departments. The strategy is monitored and reviewed by the Corporate Responsibility Committee, chaired by a Non-Executive Director.
Directors at Group level hold specific responsibilities for Corporate Responsibility. The Product Development Director is responsible for sustainability issues and advises the Corporate Responsibility Committee. Other sustainability responsibilities are allocated to various Directors including, Commercial (Procurement), Technical (Design) and Marketing. All Managing Directors and Construction Directors have a responsibility to regularly assess health, safety and environmental issues on site.
It is the role of the Sustainability Manager to ensure the coordination and implementation of the sustainability strategy across the company. A key element of this role is to work with Redrow’s Training Manager to develop and deliver sustainability training, tailored to suit staff from all disciplines and at all levels across the business.
Each Redrow office has a “Green Team” in place, headed by a Champion, who coordinates green initiatives in the offices and raises awareness of environmental issues.
